The Heart Behind Whole Person Well Care

I’m Caylin Cheney, ARNP, a board-certified family nurse practitioner with over six years of experience providing compassionate, patient-centered care.

This practice is rooted in individual autonomy and built around a simple belief: you deserve to be seen, heard, and supported in your health journey!

My deepest commitment is to create a safe, affirming space for people who have often been marginalized or harmed by traditional medical systems. This includes members of the queer and trans community, women, and anyone who has experienced medical trauma.

Someone I once worked with told me that when they walked into a specialist’s office, their first thought was, “This place isn’t meant for me.” That moment stuck with me. It broke my heart and lit a fire in me. I never want anyone to feel that way in my care. When you enter my space, I want you to feel, “I belong here.”

My own experiences with medical trauma have shaped how I practice. I know what it feels like to not be believed, to be dismissed, and to have your identity questioned. I believe healing is not only possible, but expansive. I hold a deep trust in the capacity we each have for growth and well-being, and I’m passionate about offering care that reflects that truth.

I live in the Seattle area with my partner, our kiddo, and our two dogs. Outside of work, I find joy in being in nature, listening to podcasts, and dreaming up ways to make healthcare more human.

My Journey Into Medicine

“From the first appointment, Caylin made me feel genuinely understood. She takes the time to hear every detail, no matter how small, and always finds a way to connect it back to my overall care.”

What You Can Expect

My approach combines medical care with health coaching. We don’t just focus on symptoms: we look at sleep, nutrition, boundaries, stress, and relationships too. I believe healing happens when all parts of you are invited in.

I have a special passion for supporting women, queer and trans folks, and anyone who has felt unseen in medical settings. Whether you're navigating chronic illness, exploring gender-affirming care, or working on healthier habits, I offer support that’s grounded in respect, curiosity, and honesty.

Whether you're seeking general primary care, support through transition, mental health care, or someone to walk beside you in your wellness journey, I’m here. And I’m so glad you are too.

  • My visits are spacious enough for you to be heard, understood, and fully cared for. You won’t feel rushed or overlooked. We’ll take our time so your care actually fits your life.

  • If you're a member, you’ll have direct messaging access and flexible scheduling options. No phone trees, long waits, or gatekeeping. Just real connection when you need it.

  • You know your body and your life better than anyone else. My role is to support you, not to control your care. Every decision we make is one we make together.

  • I create a space where your voice matters and your identity is honored. You’ll never have to educate me about who you are or justify what you need.

  • We’ll work together to support your physical, mental, and emotional health. Whether you’re navigating stress, chronic symptoms, or trying to build sustainable habits, I’m here to walk alongside you.

  • If you’ve ever felt dismissed, judged, or harmed in a medical setting, I want you to know this will feel different. I offer care that centers safety and healing, especially for LGBTQ+ folks, women, and anyone who has carried the weight of medical trauma.
